Promoting “Galactic Treks” and “Our Legacy, The Stars: A Tom Corbett Adventure”

If you like my work, buy me a virtual cup of coffee at Ko-Fi.

I used a recent Starry Eyed Press newsletter to craft the composite image you see above. I’m sure you can tell this is all about self-promotion. When you’re an indie author, you are also your own marketing department.

My novelette “The Aliens” is now published in the Starry Eyed Press anthology Galactic Treks: Short Stories. This is brand new and I’m one of five featured authors.

“The Aliens is an old school science fiction tale about a starship, the rise of a new and uncertain second officer, and after 200 years of space exploration, the very first contact with an intelligent, space traveling race. Will this signal disaster for humanity or a bold new step into the final frontier?

I should say I “invented” a new (as far as I’m aware) way to travel faster-than-light. I have to credit my son Michael, since we came up with pretty much the same idea at the same time and refined it together.

I’m excited to see what readers think of “The Aliens” and my answer to just how strange “strange” can get.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog or follow me on X (formerly known as twitter) or Facebook, you know I’ve been promoting the heck out of my 16-part Kindle Vella science fiction serial Our Legacy, The Stars: A Tom Corbett Adventure.

This is about as old school and “superversive” as it gets since it’s based on a 1950s TV program. The physics, technology, and backstories for the characters have all been updated (I can’t have people living on the surface of Venus anymore) while preserving the classic sense of adventure and heroism from those “thrilling days of yesteryear.”

As I mentioned, I’ve been promoting this serial aggressively and on a Facebook group, I got a very nice complement.

Let’s read that key sentence again:

Some pretty good hard SF with a Campbell pulp feel.

That’s really high praise and frankly, I’m thrilled.

Please support your friendly neighborhood indie science fiction writer.
